Cookies and browser storage

The short version

Many websites place dozens of cookies. We currently place none. The only thing Aviator Social Layer saves in your browser is a note that you confirmed you are 18 or over, kept in localStorage rather than as a cookie. As of Oct 14, 2026, that remains the full picture for our own pages.

Local storage explained

After you confirm you are 18 or over, the site saves an item with the key "age18_ok" in your browser's localStorage. Its only purpose is to stop the age prompt appearing again. It stays on your device, is not sent to our server and does not identify you. Clearing it is harmless; you will just see the age prompt again.

Third-party storage

The demo is third-party content. It sits inside a frame on our page but comes from Spribe, and anything it stores belongs to Spribe's domain. Your browser's settings for third-party cookies decide whether that storage is allowed. Some browsers block it by default, which may affect how the demo behaves.

Clearing and blocking storage

You can remove the age item and any demo storage by clearing this site's data. In Chrome, look under Privacy and security. In Safari, open the Privacy section and manage website data. In Firefox, go to Privacy and Security and find Cookies and Site Data. Each of these also lets you block third-party cookies.

Menus differ slightly by version.

If anything changes

We aim to keep this page accurate rather than generic. Websites change, so we review it when the site does. If something here does not match what you see in your browser's storage, please let us know at [email protected] and we will look into it. Screenshots of your browser's storage panel are helpful, as long as they show nothing personal.
